WATER CIRCULATION IN ST. ANDREW BAY (RESIDENCE TIME IN ST. ANDREW BAY, FL)
Time: 6:30 pm  Location: Panama City Marine Institute

Kirstin Eller discussed her graduate research project at Florida State University in which she utilized the concept of residence time, which is the length of time required for a volume of water to enter and then exit an estuary.  She discussed how residence time was calculated and what the estimates are for St. Andrew Bay. Estuaries with long residence times are more susceptible to water pollution, so knowing an estuary’s residence time is an important aspect in environmental management.  VIEW PRESENTATION
